Christmas 2012 on a boat!

Where do I even start? Sean and I have been looking forward to this trip for almost a year. Because both of the Lamb brothers have been on missions spanning the last 4 years - Mom & Dad Lamb went BIG celebrating having the whole family finally together. **Gear up for A LOT of pics!

We spent 7 days in west Caribbean on this beauty: the newest member of Disney Cruise Line: The Disney Fantasy!!
2012 is the ship's inaugural sailing!

Our official 'boarding the boat' pic.
The fantasy is famous for the Aqua Duck water slide. The tube goes off the side of the ship!

Me, about to get on the boat. You can tell this girl needed a vaca.

How great is Sean & I's stateroom? The porthole had a camera to the back of the ship. Occasionally animated Disney characters would fly by the screen.

DAY 1: Fun Day at Sea
We spent the first day exploring the ship. The further we got from Florida, the better and better the weather got.

One of my favorite spots on the ship: Deck 4. Just lounging. Day or night, it felt incredible to be outside.
We also joined one of the ship's Chefs in making ginger bread houses!

We wasted no time trying to meet every character we could. Check out the REAL GINGERBREAD HOUSE behind us!
Day 2: Cayman Islands! (Christmas Eve)
Enjoying the sail boat ride to snorkel at Sting Ray City. BEAUTIFUL water!
The instructors would just reach down and bring one to the surface for us to hold. All of us were a bit nervous at first...but soon all the Lamb boys were chasing and holding the rays. It's incredible swimming with dozens of wild sting rays.

I sort of loved getting to come back and dress up every night. Sunday was our formal night at Animator's Palate.
Delaney and I were twinners! Sequins and buns!
Look how good we Lamb kids clean up!

Every night we dined at table #24 at our assigned time of 8:15. Each night we rotated restaurants-- as well as everyone assigned to neighboring tables. We were a big rotating group.  GUESS WHO SAT NEAR US EVERY NIGHT! GABBY DOUGLAS!!! I was so excited every time I saw her! I finally got the courage to interrupt her for a picture. Sean bailed on me, but luckily Dylan was down to be a photographer.
Sequins were everywhere that night.

Just a little dancing during dinner.

Christmas Eve! We all got into our new one-zie PJs.

Waiting for Santa to come...

Day #3: Costa Maya, Mexico: Mayan Ruins (Christmas Day!)
Santa came! As if we hadn't already had the best Christmas ever.

I think the highlight of everyone's Christmas was seeing Delaney open her big present: a ticket to see One Direction!! There were literally TEARS shed!
We wasted no time getting off the boat for our next adventure.

Headed towards our big tour bus to take us an hour inland to the Mayan ruins.
We were there about 4 days after the Mayan calendar ran out.
Headed back to our home on water.

Day #4: Cozumel, Mexico. SNUBA!!
I was amazed by the water at every stop. It kept getting clearer and clearer.
I've scuba dived before, but I've never snuba'd. I'm so bummed I don't have any snuba pictures. It was awesome. It's very similar to diving. Instead of the tank being on your back, it's on a raft floating above you. You're connected by a long tube providing oxygen.
Snuba worked up quite an appetite. We had INCREDIBLE guacamole and fish tacos on the beach. My mouth is watering thinking about them.

That night was Pirate Night!
Jack Sparrow! EVERYONE on the boat was super into it and dressed up.

At this point, we were feeling full even before the meal started. But we kept on eating!! After dinner there is a pirate show on the top deck -- and incredible fireworks.

Day #5: Fun Day at Sea
We took this day to relax, lounge...
and of course eat, eat, eat

You would think it's a hassle on vacation, but I loved dressing up every night for a fancy dinner.

Cute brothers!
Day #6, Castaway Cay (Disney's own island). Our last adventure.
Most of us got up early that day a ran a 5k. All the boys charged ahead in the race. We girls rounded out the back. :) We went back to the boat and cleaned up for a tropical family picture.
This island is beautiful. Because the only people on the island are from the boat it feels a bit like a deserted island.
Water slides! I wish the water had been warmer. It was REALLY cold but it didn't stop us!
Maybe one of my favorite parts of the whole trip was when the whole family biked around the island. It was a blast biking down an air strip. Totally felt free to go anywhere we pleased.

On our last night, we finally got the family together for a game of shuffle board.

The trip went by way too fast. Sean and I both wonder what we have to look forward to now? If Mom and Dad Lamb are reading this, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! It was the trip of a life time. We'll never forget it!
