One month down, Forever to go!

Point one for Sean John! Look who remembered our one month anniversary. Home boy surprised me with flowers. Awwwwe.

I cooked dinner (curry) while Sean worked on setting up our new TV. Yes, here is a little peak into our crazy home. Our couch is being delivered tomorrow. WAHOOO. Have you ever lived a month without a couch? Life's rough. We've basically been camping on carpet as we slowly accumulate all our furniture. The kitchen, bathroom, and one of the bedrooms are pretty much done. I still have lots of little things to do. I'm not sure I'll ever be done decorating.

Cable/Internet will be installed Friday. In the mean time to test the TV, Sean only had a DVD player. Can you see what movie he grabbed to debut the TV's first picture with? Look hard...any vampire-like eyes will be able to see it's Eclipse! I love that guy.

Tiger Ears and Cowboy Tears

The Scott's are no strangers to the Eastern Idaho State Fair. Every fall. Blackfoot Idaho. This is no typical fair. Far less commercialized than most fairs. I actually enjoy the exhibits of homemade jam (you don't taste it, you just look at the jars), 70lbs pumpkins, and oh boy the FOOD. My parents buy all day passes so we can go for lunch, go home to nap, and back in time for dinner. I think I have been there 4 of the last 5 years. (A quick geography lesson: we Scotts lived in Granite Bay, CA all my life. My senior year at BYU my parents moved to Idaho. I'd like to think they moved there just to be close to the fair.)

We were all excited for Sean's first trip to the fair!

BAAAAA! We Lambs with lambs. I stepped in mud and interrupted their baths for this picture.

Nothing like a little arm wrestling.
We got tickets to the rodeo that night. Everyone in Idaho loves Tiger Ears. Tigers Ears are fried dough rolled in cinnamon and sugar, dipped in honey butter. The Scott's all passed on getting an Ear. **Take note, if all the 'regulars' pass on getting an Ear, so should you. But Sean wanted to 'fit in' with the locals and ordered one. He regretted it. It's just not something anyone should eat. I took a bite for the pic.

And lastly for your viewing pleasure, I got in on the rodeo action. Perhaps in another post I could detail the numerous accounts I've find myself on a mechanical bull. Mechanical horse for today. Please excuse my outfit. It was cold and I packed poorly.

God Bless America!

I LOVE a theme. Just any reason to celebrate/dress up/eat bad. It gives me something to look forward to. For example, today is Prince Harry's birthday. I tried to wear red in my outfit to honor his ginger hair. It's the small things.
Last Sunday was September 11th. I can't believe it's been 10 years. Sean and I were talking about where we were that day. I was getting ready for seminary that morning (putting my hot-rollers in) and my mom ran into my bathroom. I didn't understand the big deal at the time. I was brushing my teeth in front of the TV to witness the second plane hit. I remember the rest of the day going by very slowly.

Last Sunday also happened to be Sean & I's first Sunday in our new ward. I was nervous to start a family ward after being in a singles ward for almost a decade. I LOVED my Huntington Beach Pierside singles ward. It was really a very, very happy time in my life. All the ways to serve were so fun. A lot of people complain of the 'pains' of that time period, being single and all. I don't get it. It was awesome. Everyday. Sooo my point is I wasn't looking forward to a family ward. Turns out I left smiling. Met some awesome people. It will still take some adjusting, but Sean and I will have fun being the youngest married couple in the ward.

Back to loving themes, I know what you are wondering: what did we wear to church? I bought this patriotic number in high school. It's made a few appearances at 4th of July and Halloween. Sean wore the red, white, and blue tie I got him 2 4th of July's ago. (Sorry to all of Sean's fans out there... didn't correctly save the solo pic of him.)

Back to school, back to school, hope (he) doesn't get in a fight...

Day 1! Sean was looking good for the first day of his senior year! The senior part was a surprise to us both-- Sean thought he was a junior. BYU informed him he's a senior. It doesn't make much of a difference to us. Sean has a little less than 2 years left to finish his Biology undergrad and Japanese minor at BYU.
Sean's busy this semester with genetics, Japanese, speed reading, organic chemistry, DNA research lab, and a dental lab. What a busy guy!

Married people blog

Sean and I got married! You know what that means: I now blog.
It all started August 19th to be exact. I've always joked that only married people blog. So here I am. For the last month I've demanded Sean take more and more pictures "for the blog". We had a tough time choosing a blog name. I just had too many options with my new last name: Lamb. (Rack of Lamb, Legs of Lamb, etc). Finally, we (I) settled on The Lambpires. If you don't know Sean yet, you'll probably learn through this blog that he is very easy going. People assume with my dominating personality that I win everything. Sean just kinda wants me to have my way, to be happy. So I run with that. I'm guessing he'll have a few posts on here as well.
I don't intend for this blog to be funny, creative, or informative. There's enough competition in the blogging community for that. Hopefully it'll be a way to share pictures and memories with family and friends.
I don't have wedding pictures back yet. Enjoy the above teaser courtesy of my sistah Kari Scott Ward. Not sure why my neck is doing that.
