Tiger Ears and Cowboy Tears

The Scott's are no strangers to the Eastern Idaho State Fair. Every fall. Blackfoot Idaho. This is no typical fair. Far less commercialized than most fairs. I actually enjoy the exhibits of homemade jam (you don't taste it, you just look at the jars), 70lbs pumpkins, and oh boy the FOOD. My parents buy all day passes so we can go for lunch, go home to nap, and back in time for dinner. I think I have been there 4 of the last 5 years. (A quick geography lesson: we Scotts lived in Granite Bay, CA all my life. My senior year at BYU my parents moved to Idaho. I'd like to think they moved there just to be close to the fair.)

We got tickets to the rodeo that night. Everyone in Idaho loves Tiger Ears. Tigers Ears are fried dough rolled in cinnamon and sugar, dipped in honey butter. The Scott's all passed on getting an Ear. **Take note, if all the 'regulars' pass on getting an Ear, so should you. But Sean wanted to 'fit in' with the locals and ordered one. He regretted it. It's just not something anyone should eat. I took a bite for the pic.

And lastly for your viewing pleasure, I got in on the rodeo action. Perhaps in another post I could detail the numerous accounts I've find myself on a mechanical bull. Mechanical horse for today. Please excuse my outfit. It was cold and I packed poorly.
